Author Cathy Kelly has successfully finished her chemotherapy this week.
Now she has good news as she has “rung the bell” to mark a successful cancer treatment.
She shared a picture of her on holidays last year as she confirmed the news.

“Ringing the chemo bell ( with pic from Carcasonne last year as bald me will be better when I have some hair #unclefester #addamsfamily),” she announced.
“Thank you to fabulous nurses & doctors in SVPH & my loving family & friends for support & hugs to all friends still in #chemoworld Will be chemoworld myself for a bit but still!! THANK U for love & support #breastcancer.”
She concluded by looking to the future: “Next stop: #sisterhood novel@coming in Feb 2024.”
Cathy has written almost 20 books over the last two decades.

She was immediately inundated with congratulatory messages with fellow author Marian Keyes leaving several love heart emojis in the comment section.
“Sending you love and good wishes Cathy. I’m delighted you’re ringing the bell. Every good wish for your recovery. Take good care. Grá mór xxxx,” Mary Kennedy wrote.
“Much love, Cathy,” Muireann O’Connell commented.
