Castleknock-born model turned TV presenter Amanda Byram has marked her mum’s birthday in unique style this morning. Because on her Instagram account, she posted a gorgeous collage of photographs of her mum down the years, featuring pics of her on her own, with her husband, and with her children, Amanda and her sister Natasha. The post was accompanied by the message “Happy birthday to my beautiful Mama, the one and only Betty Byram!”
42-year-old Amanda is on a high at the moment, having got engaged to her partner of 2 years on New Year’s Eve. Amanda Byram and TV producer Julian Okines had only just returned from a holiday in Argentina, when the 42-year-old Dublin beauty took to Twitter to announce the fact that they had got engaged in a charmingly off-beat manner.
Having introduced him at last year’s Pride of Ireland Awards, Amanda said of Julian “I feel lucky that I got to be in a place where I was happy being single, comfortable in my own company, because I think that made me ready, kid of relaxed enough to come out the other side of a very bad patch and meet somebody special. I remember thinking one day, ‘OK universe, I’m ready now,’ and then I met Julian.”
