Aishah Akorede is proud of herself.
And that’s the most important thing.
Well, winning would be good too, she reminds us as we catch up ahead of the penultimate episode of Dancing with the Stars.
After three dance-offs, Aishah is still here and she’s thriving.

“I still can’t believe I’m in the semi-final. I didn’t even think I’d be in this show, much less the semi-final!” she gushes.
“It was more than I could have expected to be this far into the competition. So to me it’s a win already! But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to win!”
She’s literally one of the most bubbly people we know. It’s infectious. So how does she keep so positive?
“Honestly I’ve been through so much worse in life. A dance off is not that bad,” she laughs.

“I’m so lucky to be in this dance competition, I’m like, ‘Girl, keep going!’ I’m the type of person who uses that as ammunition, as fuel to do better. My competition is myself. I want to do better than the day before, than the week before. That’s how I push myself.”
G’wan Aishah!
