Nicola Hughes has FINALLY got around to posting a picture of herself and boyfriend, Made in Chelsea star Alex Mytton, and from what it seems, rumours of trouble between the pair have been exaggerated! Taking to Twitter a full 36 hours after the dawn of the new year, the beautiful Dubliner posted a photo of herself and Alex celebrating the new year, with the caption “Bit late, but Happy New Year. Only photo from the night!”
Rumours of difficulties between the couple surfaced during an emotional couple of episodes of Made in Chelsea last month, when Nicola broke down in tears about their constant rowing. The couple admitted they had been fighting too frequently, and Nicola revealed her hurt over Alex disappearing to Ibiza for three days, secretly texting former flame Jess while he was there.
And in a recent episode, Nicola said her confidence had been shattered by her boyfriend’s actions, and she was left feeling seriously insecure. She told them: “We are just going round in circles at the moment. We’re either really really good or fighting.”
Fans of the couple will be relieved by the tweet, however, which shows them to be as loved-up as ever. The pair have been together over a year, and when recently asked about marriage plans, Nicola revealed that “I would like to get married in my late twenties, so we’ll see if Alex is still around.”
Meanwhile, her career goes from strength to strength having moved to London to be with Alex, and along with regular appearances in Made in Chelsea, Nicola is making herself a good living. “I signed up with Alex’s agent over here so I’m trying to build my profile. I’m not really doing modelling anymore, now I’m kind of involved with brands, and people approach you because of what you do,” she said.
