From her favourite show to her guilty pleasure, her proudest moment to scariest one, here, we spend ten minutes with presenter Scarlett Moffatt, to get to know her a little better!

Scarlett how are you keeping, how’s life?
Life is fantastic, honestly, it sounds corny but now that I have my little boy Jude every day is just full of fun. It’s hectic but definitely more fun. Having a baby is just an excuse to act like a big kid yourself. We go puddle jumping, to soft play and sing Disney songs as loud as we can in the car.

How is the little guy?
He’s 15 months old and his nickname is Wreck It Ralph. He is such a little character. You can see wherever he’s been playing in the house, he likes to leave a trail of destruction behind him [laughs].

He’s the reason you’ve partnered with WaterWipes® for this campaign, which thanks teams who’ve helped premature babies in NICU. Talk to us about your journey to motherhood. How was that time for you?
I was so lucky, Jude was our miracle baby and I thoroughly enjoyed my pregnancy. I didn’t even get any weird cravings – well apart from constantly watching The Holiday, hence Jude’s name sake after Jude Law. Now the birth was a little bit different. He decided to come five weeks early and I had to have a C-section. Jude was taken to the NICU pretty much as soon as he was born. He had hypoglycaemia and had to have a gastrotube so he could be fed straight into his tummy. He also had jaundice. The staff were so wonderful and their small gestures meant the world to us. I remember having a conversation with Scott, my partner, wondering how on earth we thank them. And we’re not alone. Research by WaterWipes® revealed 93 percent of Irish parents whose babies were born prematurely or admitted to the NICU regard their neonatal nurse as their most valued relationship during that time. We can now thank them with the WaterWipes® Pure Foundation Fund, where you nominate an individual or a team at hero.waterwipes.com and they could win €10,000 for their department to help more parents and babies, and you could win a year’s supply of WaterWipes. A brilliant initiative! So Scarlett, between home life and work life, it’s all go at the moment, but are you good at making time for yourself, prioritising you time?
I actually do ballroom and Latin dancing as a bit of me time. It’s quite easy to sometimes feel like you’re either “Mammy Scarlett” or “Work Scarlett.” So I decided to do something completely for me, that brings me joy. I competed in my first dance competition at Blackpool this month and it felt wonderful. If I’m not dancing, I like to write. I’m currently writing a children’s book. I’m also very lucky that grandparents from both sides love looking after Jude so we have good childcare.

What are you watching on telly right now?

I’m watching Strictly Come Dancing. Chris is absolutely fantastic and also RuPaul Drag Race UK.

What scares you?
Small spaces!

What are you listening to at the moment?
I just went to see BeetleJuice 2 and so now I keep listening to Donna Summer’s MacArthur Park on repeat.

What are you reading?
It has just been my birthday and my mam got me Jane McDonald’s biography so I’ve been reading that. It’s got a good little quote in which says, “always leave the party while you’re having a good time.”

What’s your favourite thing to cook?
A good old Sunday roast with all the trimmings.

On the flip, what’s your takeaway of choice?
Chicken parmo which is a North East thing. Basically a massive chicken nugget with cheese on top.

What’s your ideal date?
Going to the theatre to see any show.

What’s your signature scent?
Baccarat rouge 540.

Tell us a secret about yourself.
Whenever I eat fries I always have tomato ketchup and mayonnaise.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
If it brings your pleasure it isn’t guilty that’s what I always say.

What’s your standout childhood memory?
Christmas! I remember pretty much every Christmas from my childhood, especially dancing to the Jive Bunny Megamix at my nanny and pappy’s house.

What’s the one thing you learned from your own parents that you’re hoping to pass onto Jude one day, if there is anything.
That a bit of humour can solve almost every minor bump and scrape when you fall down.

What’s been your career highlight so far?
Dancing as Mary Poppins in Disneyland, Florida with Ant and Dec on Main Street.

Who’s your broadcasting hero, someone you look up to?
Definitely Ant and Dec!

What are your hopes for the future?
To continue to be happy and hopefully book a wedding date with Scott.
