The second instalment of series two of Red Rock hits our screens tonight, and it’s set to be a good one.

Last week viewers were left shocked when it was revealed that Rachel Reid had brutally murdered Brian McGonigle. However, at the end of last week’s episode the drama hit an all time high as the Gardaí wrongly arrested Conor Tyrell for the crime.

Detective Sergeant Nikki has been faced with immense pressure in the hunt to find Brian’s murderer, and if she had failed to find the culprit this could have very well been the end of the line for her career.

She feels that Conor had the means, the motive and the perfect opportunity to kill Brian. Nikki also believes she’s found the murder weapon with enough DNA and finger print evidence linking him to Brian’s murder.

The evidence is plentiful and Nikki won’t be backing down. All she needs now is a confession, and the case can be closed once and for all.

With solicitor Claire Hennessy in his corner, can Conor get himself out of the sticky situation he finds himself in and clear his name?

Red Rock airs at 9:30pm on TV3.
