It seems Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid is not ready to move on from Friends actress Courteney Cox just yet, as he has denied involvement with Irish former MTV reporter called Meghann Scully.
It was reported yesterday that the rocker was dating the pretty Galway native after meeting her at the Oscar Wilde Awards in LA.
The news came months after the bassist and Courteney ended their engagement after a series of almighty rows. According to rumours, the couple split as they could not decide where to live and neither was budging.
After an article by Dan Wooton in The Sun linked Johnny to young model Meghann, a spokesperson for the 39-year-old told MailOnline: ‘Johnny is not dating anyone and hasn’t since Courteney Cox.’
His statement strongly refutes what an insider told the newspaper. The source said: ‘Johnny is very laid back and often found the courtship with Courteney very smothering. Now that he’s single again, he just wants to have fun and enjoy himself.’
‘He feels [he and Meghann] have a lot in common and wants to get to know her better.
They added: ‘Johnny and Meghann seemed to get on straight away. It’s early days but they’re into each other and both seem excited to see where it leads.’
Meghann has so far kept quiet about the entire situation, only posting to Twitter about attending Dublin tv presenter Diana Bunici’s book launch last night. She previously dated top Galway hurler David Burke.
