Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid has reportedly moved on from ex-fiancee Courteney Cox – with a young former MTV presenter from Galway.
According to the Sun, the musician’s broken heart over his failed engagement has been mended by model and entertainment reporter Meghann Scully.
The pair met at the Oscar Wilde Awards party in LA , and the 39-year-old rocker from Northern Ireland is said to be smitten already, just months after his shock split with the Friends star.
A source told the Sun’s Dan Wootton: “Johnny is very laid back and often found the courtship with Courteney very smothering. Now that he’s single again, he just wants to have fun and enjoy himself.
“He feels [he and Meghann] have a lot in common and wants to get to know her better.
“Johnny and Meghann seemed to get on straight away,’ the insider continued. “It’s early days but they’re into each other and both seem excited to see where it leads.”
This is the first time Johnny has been linked with another woman since the end of his engagement. Both the bassist and Meghann have yet to respond to today’s reports.
