Former Westlife singer Shane Filan made an appearance and performed at football star Jamie Vardy’s wedding yesterday.
The Premier League winner surprised his now wife by having Shane perform because she is a huge Westlife fan.
Jamie tired the knot with his fiancée Becky Nicholson in a star studded event in Cheshire yesterday afternoon.
A source told Evoke.ie that the Sligo native sang the couples song for their first dance as man and wife, along with a medley of Westlife hits.
The insider said, “While the band is no longer together, Jamie did the next best thing and secretly hired Shane to perform at the reception.
“Shane flew to England yesterday specifically for the gig and performed their first dance song as well as a medley of Westlife hits.
‘It is a final surprise for his wife and one that she won’t forget in a hurry.”
Other big names in attendance were One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, rapper Tinchy Strider and X-Factor winner Sam Bailey, along with Jamie’s teammates.
