Panto star Adèle King has been announced as the new face of Phonewatch Ireland, which means you’ll be seeing her on billboards all across the country.
The Irish entertainer, better known as Twink, was recently subjected to a traumatic burglary and has decided to help prevent the same thing happening to another family.
She will be warning homeowners to have their houses fitted with alarms so they won’t go through the same harrowing experience as her.
Speaking about her new appointment, she Twink said: “The irony is they had been thinking of approaching me to do this before I was burgled because the main target for robbers is people of my age”
”Then when they heard I had been burgled, the ad people thought, ‘Oh my God, there’s timing. Twink would be the best person on a poster, saying, ‘I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.”
She also told the Irish Sun of her devastation over having all her prized possessions taken from her by the callous thieves.
”They got every ring I ever had. Every bit of jewellery I owned but also family rings owned by my mother and grandmother that I had planned to pass on to my daughters and their children when they come along.
“My beautiful home is now a kip. It has been destroyed. Vandalism is what they did to my house”.
