Dancing With The Stars boss Larry Bass, of Shinawil productions has rubbished claims made by Twink that she was offered judge Loraine Barry’s position on the show.
Twink, who is known for her roles in Panto over the years, recently claimed that she turned down the offer to be a judge on the popular show, and that she recommended ballroom dancer Loraine Barry.
“I was Loraine for the pilot. I was the judge on the pilot about ten years ago. Gloria Hunniford was the host and they asked me would I do the full series and I said no!” Twink claimed.
“I’m too much of a smart arse and I like to know everything and there are better qualified people than me for this job. And I said there is a girl called Loraine Barry who would be perfect.”
However, both Larry Bass and Loraine herself have now vehemently denied the claims, revealing that the show ‘never spoke’ to the 67-year-old.
“We never spoke to Twink about doing Dancing with the Stars. None of this is correct.” Larry Bass told The Irish Sun.
“There was a different dance show called Let’s Dance about nine years ago (Twink was involved in it) but we never spoke to Twink about Dancing with the Stars. I have no idea where this is coming from.”
Speaking out about the rumours, well loved judge Loraine said she ‘doesn’t know Twink at all’
“I don’t know Twink at all. I think I’ve met her twice in my whole life. Once in season one and again when she turned up two weeks ago.” Loraine told The Irish Sun.
“Obviously I heard Twink’s name growing up as a child, but I don’t know her. I haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about,” she added.
