One of the newest members of the Xpose team, Cassie Stokes, has revealed that she’s received homophobic hate mail since joining the TV3 show.
Cassie joined the panel of hosts in April, taking the place of Karen Koster while she’s on maternity leave.
The Dublin native is very open about her sexuality, and has spoken out about being sent hate mail of a homophobic nature from one offensive viewer.
Speaking to The Herald she said, “I recently got some homophobic hate mail into TV3. I have no idea who it’s from, it was on a postcard.”

28-year-old Cassie tackled the haters head on and was not intimidated by the horrific comments.
“There were a few things about ‘you will have this label on your back forever’ and I was like, ‘Really? Because I feel like I am wearing that label very proudly on my front,’” she said.
This kind of abuse is shocking, but the tv presenter says that she is not hurt by these harsh words, instead she is focusing on how far Irish society has come in terms of attitudes towards LGBT people.
“I guess there’s still a little bit of hate out there but we are doing amazing things and again, it comes back to one day it won’t be such a big deal,” she said.
As if we needed another reason to love Cassie…
