Vogue Williams is opening up about a bad experience on her recent holiday to St Barts, when she was shamed for wearing her bikini into a shop.
The model was enjoying her holiday, with her three children along with reality star husband Spencer Matthews. But during a nice day at the beach, the Dubliner decided to pop into a local shop, putting a sarong over her bikini to save time.
However, one member of staff was not happy with Vogue’s outfit choice and followed her around the shop, berating the presenter.
Opening up about the experience on her and Joanne McNally’s My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, explaining: “I got a bit sl*t shamed in the supermarket.”
Continuing: “You know the way when you’re on holidays and you’re like ‘Okay I’ll go to the supermarket and wear my bikini but like with a wrap over it and my flip flops because I’m on my holidays.'”
“Well, I walked in and this woman – the look I got off this woman.”
The mum of three was then berated by the women, as she explained: “She looked me up and down and she goes ‘No, no, no’ and I was like ‘Pardon?’ and she goes ‘Pull this up.'”
“Two more times during my shopping trip, she came around just to throw me filthy looks.”
During her trip, Vogue spotted another woman in her swimsuit while shopping, who was actually kicked out of the shop.
“I was like ‘Oh my god’ and then I went over to her and I was like ‘Excuse me, this woman’s in a swimsuit’ and I had to rat someone out.
“But the other woman was already standing outside because she’d gotten kicked out!”
