U2 have opened the first of their 25 gigs in Las Vegas with a spectacular show.
The band are performing their residency in Sin City’s $2.3 billion arena, The Sphere, and will be there for the next few months.
Their opening gig last night drew quiet a crowd as many of Hollywood’s biggest stars stepped out to see the group performing live.
Notably Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney and rock sensation Jon Bon Jovi.
Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were also in attendance. As well as, singer Katy Perry, Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, rapper Dr Dre, Twilight star Dakota Fanning, Friday Night Lights actress Connie Britton, The Hunger Games’ Elizabeth Banks, Mad Men star Jon Hamm, Parks and Rec’s Adam Scott and Legally Blonde actor Luke Wilson, just to name a few.

U2 performed a series of their greatest hits while opening the impressive venue, including With Or With Out You, Beautiful Day, and Where The Streets Have No Name.
They also launched a new track titled Atomic City.
In the midst of their concert, Bono address Paul McCartney, saying: “Macca is in the house tonight. Paul McCartney is here. … Just know that we love you and we’ve stolen a lot of your songs.”
The Sphere proved to be a perfect venue as the circular LED screens which surround the venue changed to fit the tones of their music.

The gig was beloved by fans including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
The actor shared several videos of himself and longtime love Katy enjoying a date night in the venue.
Orlando even sand along with several of their hits including With Or With Out You.
