Tom Hanks has shared his adoration for the late Maeve Binchy.
The Hollywood superstar was a massive fan of her writing and penned a letter to tell the woman herself after reading some of her work.
Tom was particularly fond of one particular book; Light A Penny Candle.
“I fell in love with it,” he said, according to Press Association.
“We all went nuts for her and I read Tara Road, Circle of Friends – I ended up going on a massive Maeve Binchy thing.
“I actually wrote her a fan letter and I got a letter back. I thought I should get myself to Dublin and have a nice cup of tea with Maeve.”
