Friends star Courteney Cox is clearly devoted to making her relationship work with Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid – as she’s planning on spending more time in his native Ireland.
The actress is reportedly prepared to temporarily leave sunny California behind for the Emerald Isle in a bid to win her rocker fiancee back.
The celebrity couple called off their engagement in December last year when they were reportedly at loggerheads over where to live, and although the situation still hasn’t been resolved, Courteney is willing to do whatever she can.
A source told OK magazine that although “a permanent move [to Ireland] is off the table” for Courteney, she is “willing to spend more time in Ireland to make the relationship work. At this point she’ll bend over backward to make Johnny happy.”
The pair first began dating in 2013 after they were introduced by mutual pal Ed Sheeran, and the bassist got down on one knee after just six months.
After a whirlwind romance, they split over not being able to agree where to set up a home together, but the LA-based actress soon knew she wanted the musician back. “Being away from Johnny made Courteney realise how much she missed him,” an insider told OK.
Rumours of a reunion were sparked last month when they were pictured together for the first time in months shopping with Courteney’s daughter Coco.
This sighting confirmed Johnny’s denial of reports that he was seeing Meghann Scully, a former MTV reporter from Galway, who he was claimed to have been dating since meeting at an Oscars party.
Only time will tell if Johnny and Courteney can make it work this time, but it’s not for lack of trying!
