Where has the sun gone?
Look we may be back to miserable weather, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have plenty to be excited about.
Here’s what we’re loving this week at VIP HQ!
Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…a good SPF
I may be the palest person, well, ever. So I need to make sure that I protect my skin every summer.
And this year I have a few sun holidays coming up (how exciting) so I need to make sure that I have factor 50 aplenty. But I don’t want to be sticky or covered in a white cast. But thankfully Sol de Janeiro is on hand with their new Rio Radiance SPF 50 Sunscreen Collection.
It smells incredible, honestly, who needs perfume when I have these dreamy products? From the body spray to the body lotion to the body oil, I’m simply in love.
You can shop the collection here.

To celebrate the inaugural Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Denver, Colorado this month, the Irish airline teamed up with Grá Chocolates to create a bespoke box of chocolates inspired by the Rocky Mountains.
And let me tell you, they were delicious. Marshmallow, biscuit, and some of the smoothest chocolate I’ve ever had the pleasure of consuming.
If the Rockies are anything like this, catch me there.
Staff Writer Anja is loving…CurlyCo hair products
I must be honest, I go through phases of loving my naturally curly hair. But summer will always be my favourite time of year to unleash my curls. Those of you who have curly or wavy hair will know that no two days are the same. Yes, one wash day you have soft bouncy voluminous curls, the next they’re totally flat and a bit frizzy. If this is the case, it might have something to do with the products you’re using.
I’ve been using CurlyCo on and off for about a year now and I’m totally obsessed. In fact, every time I wash my hair and use their products, I always get complimented. Yes, that’s how good they are! With a full range of products to choose from including a nourishing shampoo & conditioner, curl-defining mousse and cream, not to mention a curl hold gel to keep your curls in place, there really is something for everyone.
My current routine consists of washing my hair with the Curl-defining shampoo and conditioner, followed by applying lots of mousse and some gel to keep the frizz at bay. After a quick diffuse, my hair has never looked better!
Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…getting active
I have a seriously sweet tooth and I am also attempting to get moving a bit more.
That’s where Cadbury has stepped in. Cadbury is inviting women from around Ireland, who want to have fun, improve their fitness and meet new people this summer, to take part in the FAI Cadbury Kick Fit programme, a nationwide joint initiative in partnership with the Football Association of Ireland to drive participation in women’s football.
This summer, the eight-week programme will again offer a fun, non-competitive, social space for women to keep fit and meet new people. Each programme is managed by individual clubs and supported by FAI Development Officers and the FAI Women’s Football Programme Coordinator. The joint initiative also encourages the recruitment of female coaches and players to local clubs.

Head of Digital Jade is loving… New healthy treats
I’m a big snacker, so it will come as no surprise that I enjoy a treat or two from time to time.
This week, I tried some of Holland & Barrett’s new Food That Loves You Back range and the bits were only delicious… Especially the cookie dough-flavoured nut butter. Next level.
The new range marks the biggest transformation of the brand’s food category to date, and features products from 10 new Irish food suppliers. Delightful!
Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…minding my skin
As I’ve already said, SPF is a massive part of my skincare. But I love my skincare routine. It’s such a mindful part of my morning and evening routine.
So I love finding new products that make my skin glow.
One such product is SkinCeuticals’ Cell Cycle Catalyst.
The exfoliating anti-aging product is clinically tested to peel and enhance cellular turnover at the skin’s surface to smooth texture, and improve the appearance of discolouration, and the look of visible lines. As we get older our cells regenerate slower and slower, so to make sure that we’re glowing this new serum helps give them a little boost.
