This week’s line-up for The Late Late Show has finally been revealed, and it’s set to be a good one!
Charlie Bird will be joining Ryan on the eve of his wedding. The former RTE news broadcaster has been retired for over six years but that hasn’t stopped him getting recognised on the streets on a daily basis. Ryan will chat to him about what he’s been up to since his retirement as well as his upcoming nuptials.
Ryan will then sit down 51-year old mum Maureen Allman, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Maureen will speak about her determination to embrace all life has to offer for this limited time. Maureen has already said, “I believe in living life and until they put me six foot under, I am going to be alive. Death is on the horizon and we have been very pragmatic in how we have dealt about death.”
Song writer Jimmy Webb will be performing as well as joining Ryan on the couch for a chat about his impressive career. Jimmy has worked with Nina Simone, Barbara Streisand and R.E.M., to name a few.
As the hype surrounding First Dates Ireland continues to grow, some of the most memorable members of the series so far will join Ryan to talk about searching for love under the watchful eyes of the Irish nation.
Finally, in the spirit of all things Eurovision, Linda Martin will be taking to the stage this Friday to perform her Eurovision winning song “Why me?”
We’ll certainly be tuning in!
