The Academic have just announced that they will be supporting Louis Tomlinson for his upcoming North America tour this summer.
That’s right, the Westmeath indie-pop band, will support the former One Direction singer across the US and Canada in May and June, following on from their very own headline North American tour.
Taking to Instagram to announce the exciting news, they wrote: “We’re buzzing to be joining @louist91 for some shows on the Faith In The Future world tour!
“We already know that Louis has the most incredible fans and we can’t wait to play for you guys!”

Kansas City, Toronto, Indianapolis and Columbus are just some of the cities where you will be able to catch the Irish band in action.
Before concluding their post, they encouraged fans to get in touch and let them know which shows they plan on going to.
“We will try and meet as many of you as we can!” they added.
Of course, fans were quick to express their excitement at the announcement with one commenting: “SO excited!! Definitely going to make a trip to see you guys with Louis.”
While singer Gavin James wrote: “Boom!!”
It’s already been a busy few months for the lads, with their new album Sitting Pretty even scoring Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart.
This saw the follow-up to their 2018 album Tales From The Backseat.
