Popular RTE news reporter Teresa Mannion has expressed her hopes at landing her own show in the future.
Currently participating in Dancing With The Stars, Teresa has admitted that she would be interested in fronting a chat show whenever her time on the competition ends.
Having worked in various genres of television, the journalist said that she enjoys the fun element, and it’s something she unfortunately doesn’t get as a reporter.
Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday Teresa said, “I’ve never really thought about it but ‘Talk to Tess’ has a ring to it.
“When I finished college, I went straight into children’s TV and then a science show, so I have worked in lots of different areas.
“That’s why Dancing With The Stars has been so much fun. It’s a light-entertainment, showbiz type of show – the polar opposite to news. I wouldn’t rule out a chat show – it would be nice.
“It’s nice to dip your toe into different projects. If you have done news, then you can pretty much do anything because you have to move so quickly.”
We would certainly miss her warning us about unnecessary journeys and taking risks on treacherous roads, but we would definitely tune in for Teresa’s chat show!
