Irish model and Dancing with the Stars contestant has taken to Instagram to show the vast difference that a year can make in someone’s life.
Sharing a snap of herself modelling on the runway, versus a photo of herself in uniform complete with medical face mask, Grainne captioned the pic “Me this time last year VS me today #stillglam”.
Friends and fans flocked to the comments sections to thank her, with some saying “A frontline hero”, “Same soul, different outfit”, while Olive Robinson added: “What a difference a year makes. Thank you for working. Both photos beautiful.”
This comes after Grainne recently shared that her parents were a “bit worried” when she made the decision to go back into nursing. The former Miss Universe shared that she didn’t have to think twice about re-registering for the HSE; “When I moved home I thought the best thing for me to do was to go back and help out because I had no other obligations, nothing to stop me and I like working, I like my job.”
Grainne also spoke about how difficult it is for some of the patients; “I think the saddest thing is that people can’t have any visitors they can’t have anyone in with them, that’s the worst I think.”
She went on to say that; “When you’re not well the one thing that makes you feel better is having the people you want around you so I think that’s the hardest thing.”
