Shane Quigley Murphy was the third celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.
It was an emotional night for him as he showed off his vulnerable side with his dance.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to save him from going home.
He took to Instagram to share an emotional goodbye to the show.

“Well what a journey, where to begin,” he wrote.
“I just want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to absolutely every single person who voted, supported, reached out and watched us do our thing on this years DWTS, especially my family watching and supporting throughout. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little gutted to be out of the running this early on, especially after being paired with such an incredible human as Laura Nolan.”
He went on to praise his dance partner, Laura writing: “You’ve taught me more about myself in the last few weeks than I ever could have hoped for, and to have been paired with you and to watch you work has been an absolute pleasure. Finding the words to describe exactly how amazing you’ve made this experience for me is hard, so all I can say is thank you.
“This one just wasn’t for us, but I truly had the best time out there each week and I can’t thank you enough. Your skills as a dancer and your genuine love of dance has ignited something in me to keep on grooving.”
He then thanked everyone behind the scenes: “To the amazing production team, costume team, makeup team, drivers, runners and all the incredible contestants and dancers who I’m now fortunate enough to call friends – thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“To Larry Bass and everyone at Shinawil- thank you for a fantastic experience. To the judges, a big thank you for the guidance and honesty throughout, and although we feel we had more to give, the competition is tough this year and you’ve got an incredible line up ahead of you. I look forward to tuning in each week.
“This is just the beginning of an incredible journey ahead and I look forward for what’s to come. For now it’s back to Carrigstown I go! Much love X”.
We’ll miss him on our screens every Sunday!
