Shane Filan’s dad Peter has sadly passed away.
He died in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin over the weekend, and will be dearly missed by those closest to him.
Peter will be remembered by his children Finbarr, Peter, Yvonne, Liam, Denise, Mairéad and Shane, plus their extended family and friends too.
His death comes less than a year after Shane’s mum Mae passed away.
The mother of seven died peacefully on Sunday December 15th, in the care of the staff of North West Hospice in County Sligo.
At the time of her passing, Shane said, “Yesterday, Sunday 15th of December was the saddest day of my life. My mother Mae, who was an incredible and beautiful woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by all her family.
“I’d like to say thank you to everyone for all your well-wishes at this time. To all the fans for all your support and lovely messages, thank you.
“Her funeral is a very private time for me and my family to grieve and I know you all understand and will respect that.”
