Shane Byrne shocks DWTS viewers with his dance routine

Shane Byrne is proving that he’s not just a legend on the rugby pitch, he may be a legend on the dancefloor just as well.

He may not have topped the leaderboard this week with his moves, but he certainly was the talk of the town.

The former sports star shimmied his way across the floor during his cha-cha with Karen Byrne.

However, he left everyone speechless when he performed not one, not two, but three cartwheels.

Or as Karen dubbed them mulletwheels.

The judges were left absolutely speechless at the performance as were viewers at home.

“You taught me something tonight, to be very careful what you wish for because last week I asked for more entertainment,” Brian Redmond was finally able to say.

“Three cartwheels – in my whole career I have never seen that,” Loraine Barry added.

“I can’t help myself loving you. That was burning hot,” Arthur Gourounlian enthused.

Despite the high praise, he and Karen were only awarded 12 points. And with the first elimination next week, it looks like he could be bidding farewell to the dancefloor.

But viewers may save him as Twitter was abuzz with praise for the legend.
