Ruth Negga looks stunning alongside some of Hollywood’s leading ladies in this month’s Vanity Fair.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the Irish-Ethiopian actress was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Mildred Loving in Loving – and now she has further cemented her A-List status by appearing in one of America’s most popular, high-brow magazines.
The Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair was unveiled yesterday, with the intention of “celebrating the most compelling, powerful, and talented women in the business” – and the leading ladies were snapped by legendary photographer, Annie Leibovitz
Ruth has been photographed alongside some of her competition – Emma Stone and Natalie Portman – for the the coveted Best Actress Oscar.
Also featured in the shoot are Dakota and Elle Fanning, Janelle Monae, Aja Naomi King, Greta Gerwig, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o and Dakota Johnson.
Vanity Fair also gave a special mention to the former Love/Hate star.
“Negga enjoyed the kind of breakthrough year actresses dream of, appearing first on AMC’s Preacher and then in the quiet biographical drama Loving, for which she earned an Oscar nomination,” said the magazine.
