Rivals set to return for a third season

We might only be halfway through season two of Rivals (yes it’s set to return later this year), but we have some good news.

All the raunchy drama will be back for a third season.

It is Disney+’s biggest European original series, so it makes sense that they would want to keep the good times going.

The streaming service confirmed the news that a third 12-episode series would be coming to the platform.

Teasing what we can expect from season three, Disney+ said: “As the dust settles post the scandalous revelations in Season Two, we see the stakes become higher and the alliances more fragile, with nothing staying buried for long.

“New romances blossom, old flames rekindle and shocking secrets will be spilled in this third series which takes everyone’s favourite rivalries to the next level. In a world of power, passion and betrayal, everyone has something to lose.”

The show stars Ireland’s own Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfit as Declan and Maud O’Hara.

David Tennant, Danny Dyer, Emily Atack and Katherine Parkinson also star in the smutty series that has viewers on the edge of their seats week in and week out.

The show which has been dubbed a “bonkbuster” is based on Jilly Cooper’s best-selling novels. The English author sadly passed away during the filming of season two.

The next six episodes will drop weekly beginning in November.
