What a duo!
Yes, Mission: Impossible and Dune star Rebecca Ferguson will join Oscar winner Cillian Murphy in the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders movie for Netflix.
Just last month it was confirmed that we would finally be getting a Peaky Blinders movie after two years of speculation.
While the film is described as a “continuation” of the series which saw Cillian as Thomas Shelby, the war hero turned gangster who worked his way up in the world of crime in 1900s Birmingham, plot details are being kept under wraps so far, along with Rebecca’s role.

Having said that, what we do know is that the picture will be set after the onset of World War II and will once again see Cillian take on the role of Brum mobster Tommy Shelby.
The series finale saw Tommy find out that the doctor who diagnosed him with brain cancer was lying to him and was actually involved in a ploy against the Shelby family with fascist leader Oswald Mosley.
Many fans wondered why Tommy decided to spare his life, so perhaps this film will answer that question, but there are a lot more theories as to what will be explored.
Previously speaking out in a statement about the upcoming project, Cillian said: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me. …
“It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”
As well as Cillian and Rebecca, we can also expect to see many of the beloved (and not so beloved) Shelbys returning.
As far as the release date goes, it’s going to be quite another while seeing as production isn’t set to begin until September.
So until then, another binge of the series anyone?
