Paul Mescal, the man that you are!
While the Maynooth man is known for his more serious roles, it looks like he wants to branch out into something a little more lighthearted.
Yes, he has revealed that he would like to do a romantic comedy in the future.

Speaking to Awards Watch he said that he wouldn’t be able to go all in on a comedy as it “scares” him but he wouldn’t say no to a rom-com!
“Comedy scares me deeply because I think I saw Bottoms recently and I was in awe of how they do that. That’s one of those I leave the cinema and I’m incredibly jealous and brightened of everybody’s talents involved with that film,” he explained.
“But I think in the next five years I’m going to set myself a challenge to do maybe like a rom-com with Ayo [Edebiri] or something like that would be cool.”
Ayo Edebiri and Paul are close friends, sharing snaps together on social media.
Ayo is best known for her role in The Bear but has also appears in comedy films Bottoms and Theatre Camp this year.
Paul is a busy man at the minute, his film with Saoirse Ronan Foe is currently in cinemas and his upcoming film All of Us Strangers with Andrew Scott will come out on January 26th.
He is also set to return to work on Gladiator now that the actor’s strike is over. And we can’t wait to watch!
