Who else is currently in love with Paul Mescal?

The Irish actor had us all giggling as we watched his Chicken Shop Date debut.

Our beloved Irish man joined Amelia Dimoldenberg on her chat show on Friday and the pair discussed a whole range of topics, from Paul’s acting career to Guinness, to long romantic walks, and of course GAA.

I think It’s safe to say we were all crying with laughter after Paul read Amelia’s rom-com script, to which she pushed, “if you could just start reading the script now.”

From the script, Paul read: “Wow Amelia you look so beautiful today. I’ve never in my life seen someone so gorgeous in a chicken shop. I always used to think people who believed in love at first sight were stupid until now.”

Hilarious. Amelia never disappoints.

Will we be seeing Paul in a rom-com soon? We’re keeping our fingers crossed.

Paul loves a long romantic walk

And yes, he said a walk, not a run!

After the crazy allegations that he runs away from dates, Paul hints that he is aware of the rumours by telling host Amelia “I love walking, a good long walk is romantic to me. Simple pleasures, I’m a simple man.”

According to the rumours, if you haven’t heard them already – Paul allegedly picks up girls in London bars, brings them home with him and then ditches them the next day while on a walk in the park.

Who knows if there’s any truth in the hilarious rumour, but we couldn’t help but think of it when Paul mentioned his “long walks”.

Paul explains GAA

We all know that Paul is fond of a pair of O’Neill’s GAA shorts, which leads to Amelia asking him to explain Gaelic football.

In the interview, Paul explains the Irish sport as being “where lots of sad, sexy men run around in tiny shorts” which leads to Amelia asking, “Is that how you got your thighs?”

Through lots of laughter Paul answers “Yeah, that and genetics. Gaelic football is the national sport in Ireland, and I used to play it.”

Amelia then joked that Paul must not have been very good because he doesn’t play professionally.

“It’s an amateur sport, so you can’t get paid doing it” Paul explained. “It’s kind of amazing because then people don’t do like – it’s not corrupted by money.”

Paul teaches Amelia how to split the G

During the interview, Amelia pulls out a singular can of Guinness for herself, and Paul, being the Irish man that he is, tells her to “split the G.”

After attempting the challenge and failing, Paul says “That’s….polite.”

Anyone else falling in love with him?!

We have confirmation that Paul is a good kisser!

Amelia tells Paul how she met his All Of Us Are Strangers co-star Andrew Paul, and that he told her Paul is a good kisser.

“He said you’re a good kisser…I don’t know if that’s true or false, I can’t say” to which Paul responds with a simple “yeah”, before bursting out laughing.

We simply can’t.

Paul pronounces his second name for us

@chickenshopdateCan’t wait for Paul Mescal to take my name 🙂 date out now x♬ original sound – Chicken Shop Date

In an interview with Andrew Scott at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards Amelia pronounced Paul’s second name wrong, which lets be honest – some of us have done too.

During the Chicken Shop Date, Amelia asks Paul to pronounce his last name for her, but Paul pulls an Uno Reverse! “I’d like you to pronounce my last name.”

After learning how to pronounce Mescal from Andrew Scott, Amelia pronounces his second name perfectly and now so can we, so thanks Amelia!

Amelia humbles Paul

While on the topic of movies, Paul asks Amelia if she would go to the movies to see a sad film to which she responds, “Oh yeah, especially if you’re in it.”

Their conversation about Paul’s movies continues with Amelia saying, “I think I’ve seen all yours,” putting a smile on Paul’s face.

However, she quickly humbles him adding “well you’ve not done loads” and at this point we’re all crying with laughter as Paul responds with a flat “okay.”

Honestly, Amelia, what a slay. More, please!
