Former Westlife star Nicky Byrne will be taking on fellow boyband member, 1D’s Louis Tomlinson, in a head-to-head challenge – but it’s all in the name of charity.
The singer will be up against the One Direction heart-throb for the star-studded Soccer Aid 2016 game on June 5 at Old Trafford in Manchester, in aid of Unicef.
Nicky will be lining out with showbiz faces such as tv chef Gordon Ramsay and actor Martin Sheen for the Rest of the World team, who will be competing with the England squad, which consists of Louis, Olly Murs, Jack Whitehall, Marvin Humes, John Bishop and Mark Wright, to name a few.
Unicef UK Ambassador Robbie Williams will guide them by acting as Assistant Manager. The annual charity football event is now in its tenth year, and fans unable to be there in person will be able to catch all of the action when it is broadcast live on ITV.
We can’t wait to see this showdown!
Meanwhile, VIP met up with Nicky for a chat before he attempts to be crowned winner of the Eurovision this year – full interview out in this month’s magazine but click here for a sneak preview.
