Conor McGregor has posed nude for ESPN’s 2016 Body Issue, giving readers some major eye candy while they learn all about the discipline it took for him to become a champion MMA star.
The Notorious explained that growing up in Dublin was the reason he got into fighting in the first place, as he both wanted and needed to learn how to defend himself as a child. From there, he was simply a young man who had determination and worked hard for what he wanted in life.
Speaking to ESPN, he said, “You grow up where I’m from, you must learn how to defend yourself as a young man. I was no different. I got into it to learn how to fight, and that’s why I walked into my first combat gym.

“I’m just a kid that defied the odds. I’m just a kid that ignored the doubt. I’m just a kid from a little place in Dublin, Ireland, that went all the way, and I’m going to continue to go all the way.”
The Notorious revealed that his Irish genes are what makes him strong, and that his ancestors were fighters – the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree then, eh?
“I tell you what, the Irish genes are good. They’ve served me well. We are made tough. We are made of steel. So I have no doubt the blood in my genes, the Irish blood in me has definitely stood me. My family’s lineage, we are warriors.
“The McGregor clan, we are warriors all through. We are famous all through the world for our fighting capabilities of all generations. So I have no doubt that’s stood to me and that led me down this path and gave me what I have,” he said.
Conor admits he’s currently focusing on his skills as a fighter so that he is ready to take on Nate Diaz this August – but we have no doubts he’ll do just just.
