Rumours had been circulating that Maura Higgins would be joining I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here this year.
And we waited with bait breath to find out who would be heading into the jungle…
However, when Virgin Media confirmed the line-up on Monday evening there was neither sight nor sound of the Longford lady.
To the surprise of many.
Irish boxer Barry McGuigan will be proudly flying the Irish flag, it has been confirmed when the series kicks off on Sunday night.
Elsewhere in the show, we’ll see Coleen Rooney, X-Factor judge and singer Tulisa Contostavlos, and McFly’s Danny Jones also take on the jungle.
However, rumours are not letting up on Maura’s eventual appearance on the show.
Perhaps calling back to her Love Island days where she entered as one of the most iconic bombshells in the show’s history, rumours are now circulating that she will enter at a later date.
According to The Sun, Maura will join the camp later in the series alongside Bronski Beat musician Reverend Richard Coles.
Usually the beloved series has these new faces heading into the jungle about a week after the show starts.
Last year jockey Frankie Dettori and boxer Tony Bellew entered late, while the year before it was Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here starts Sunday the 17th November at 9pm on Virgin Media One
