Mairead Farrell has opened up about her wedding day in two weeks time – and none other than her 8-year-old son will take the role of best man on the day.
On the Ian Dempsey Show this morning, the usually very private presenter chatted openly about her nuptials, which taking place on June 5.
“Little Dara is best man, ” Mairead said. “He’s been practising his speech at home, I’m the only one who’s heard it.”
Not only does the big responsibility of being best man lie in the hands of Dara, but he was also the man behind organising the stag.
And like any 8-year-old knows, the best way to celebrate is by going to see The Ninja Turtles with a big bag of popcorn.
“They went to the secret cinema across the road from Brooks Hotel to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, there was about 12 of them on it”, Mairead revealed this morning.
The Today FM host also revealed that the ceremony will take place in the idyllic countryside.
“We’re getting married in Tipperary,” she said, “in a little place where about five people live in.”
The tv personality is tying the knot with her businessman boyfriend Louis Ryan, who have been dating since 2011 and got engaged last year.
Mairead recently let her hair down for a fun-filled hen weekend with pals.
