Irish dancing legend, Michael Flatley, has made a little girl’s dream come true by teaching her some of his signature high kicks, and introducing her to the cast of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games.
Maya’s wish came true when she met and danced with her idol, Michael and the Lord of the Dance cast, through the magic of the Make a Wish foundation.
Although the Tipperary native is only seven years old, she’s been dancing since she was three. She also practices every day after school and loves to watch Irish dancing.
In addition to meeting the Lord of the Dance himself, Maya received a specially designed Irish dancing dress from the Make a Wish foundation. Her mum Linda says it makes her “the happiest little girl”.
Despite doctors’ diagnoses, Maya, who has multiple medical issues, beats all odds and continues to dance on!
Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games premieres in Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre tonight, and will continue until Saturday June 25th.
