Maura Higgins will be turning 32 years old in just a few days, but the celebrations have started early.
While her actually birthday is the 25th of November, the Love Island star has began the festivities today. Wanting to spend her special day away from the wicked winter weather, the Longford native has jetted off to the Maldives to celebrate in the sunshine.
Maura made it a girls trip, bringing along her friend, model Leah Taylor.
Leah shared a snap of the girls celebrating while waiting for their flight.
Captioning her post: “Your birthday trip starts now.”
The girls landed this morning and since then Maura has been busy keeping her followers updated, giving them a glimpse at her fabulous accommodation.
The pair are staying in a luxury villa in the 5-star Kandima Maldives resort.
But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing, as Maura was visited by a univited guest in her bathroom.
Getting a not entirely pleasant birthday surprise when she discovered a lizard in the shower!
Sharing a snap of their visitor, she simply captioned her post with three lizard emojis.
