Dr Marie Cassidy became the second contestant to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars.
And we’re certainly sad to see her leave the competition! As well as the country as she is heading back to the UK after being axed from the show.
Speaking after the elimination, she joked: “I was robbed. I was robbed, I’ll tell ya. There should be an allowance for your age like in horse racing. I’m shocked! I thought I was in to win.”
Of course, she saw the bright side in things, although she admits that she had put her whole heart and soul into the competition. Just like the rest of the contestants.
“I’m no different to everyone else. Everyone was giving it their all, no one wants to go home,” she explained as she spoke to the press after Sunday night’s show.
However, she is a bit relieved that she may get her life back as she admitted that the series “becomes your life”. The stars of the show spend all day every day in the dance studio rehearsing for the live shows.
“There is more to life,” she added.
And she’s definitely not bitter about being eliminated as she told us: “It’s a game, people are going to vote or they’re not going to vote.”
Dancing with the Stars continues on RTÉ One on Sunday at 6:30pm
