Its no secret that Margot Robbie absolutely loved getting to work on the upcoming Barbie film, and not just because she got to live in Barbie’s dreamhouse, or borrow from her perfectly pink wardrobe.

Nope, one of the highlights for Margot was getting to work with our own Nicola Coughlan.

The Galway Girl is set to play a diplomat Barbie in Barbieland in the upcoming film, and Margot had only good things to say about working with the Derry Girls star.

Telling Dublin FM104: “Isn’t she just the best.”

“I love Ireland, I love the Irish, Nicola being in the movie is just the icing on the cake for the Barbie Movie. We’re so lucky.”

Margot’s love of the Irish might have something to do with a particular wild night out she enjoyed in Dublin.

The Australian starlet recently opened up about her time here while speaking to the station.

“I love Dublin. I’ve had a very fun Wednesday night in Dublin.”

“We stayed in a hostel, went on a whim with my housemate and best friend Sophia – we ended up in Dublin.”

“We ended up doing a lock-in. It was just the greatest,” the actress explained.

However, her co-star Ryan Gosling, who will be playing just Ken, wasn’t familiar with the terminology. Prompting Margot to explain: “So, if you like, stay late enough and then they just shut the doors and then you don’t have to go home.”

“You just stay. It’s a lock-in, you can stay and keep drinking even past the time when it’s meant to shut.”

“Even the police were in there with us doing the lock-in. It was so fun!”
