Mairead Ronan has annouced she’s starting her very own podcast, and it’s with none other than pal Jenny Kelly.
It has been a year since the former radio presenter hung up her mic at Today FM but now it seems as though she’s ready to pick it back up again, only this time it’s on her own terms.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Mairead wrote: “Very excited to get back together with my OG radio wife Jenny Kelly. We met 20 years ago and while we’re still the same at heart we are different so this is us ‘now.'”
Mairead hopes that the podcast will in particular strike a chord with women over 40 whom she feels are neglected in the podcast sphere.

Despite her quick return to the mic, that doesn’t mean Mairead regrets her decision to leave Today FM.
Telling the Irish Independent: “It was ‘1000 per cent the best decision to make – if I had been able, I would have turned cartwheels leaving the studio for the last time.”
She even admitted that she tried to enlist her hubby Louis to help her to make up her mind about leaving radio, but he refused to be drawn into the conversation, telling her it was her decision.
“It was actually really good advice from him because it is mine and I own it,” she said.
The podcast, which will run weekly starting next Wednesday, will see the two hosts chat about “everything and anything” under the sun, from topical stories and books to everyday life events.
The first episode drops on the 18th of January and will be available to listen to on GoLoud.
