Irish fans are both intrigued and confused after discovering that Love Island’s Ekin-Su once competed as Miss Ireland.
Images of the islander have begun to circulate, showing the 27-year-old as a student. One particular snap has caught the eye of many, showing Ekin-Su smiling while wearing a sash that reads: “Miss Ireland”.
Immediately, people began to wonder what the star’s link to Ireland is. She originally is from London and grew up between the UK and Istanbul. However, it looks like Ekin-Su may have had a short stint living in Ireland. Representing the country in the 2012 Miss Asia Pacific World pageant when she was just 18, her hometown says ‘Dublin’ in the documents.
There seems to be no more evidence that Ekin-Su lived in the city, but fans are happy to see her represent the country nonetheless.
