Move aside Love Island we have a brand new Irish dating show

As much as we love Love Island, we have a few critiques on how to make it better.

Number one – have more Irish people in the show. The winter season has absolutely zero Irish faces in the lineup, although we will be watching this space.

Thankfully, Virgin Media has heard our cries.

They have created a brand new Irish dating show called Grá ar an Trá and will begin shooting this summer.

Okay so what can we expect?

Well, it’s been billed as the Gaeltacht as you’ve never seen it before.

We mean, what is Love Island but the Gaeltacht as Bearla?

“Grá ar an Trá will see singletons couple up and get cosy, as they get to grips with the language… and each other,” the show has been described.

“Through fun tasks, cheeky challenges and romantic rendez-vous, our couples will compete to find love and be crowned the couple with the most focal.”

Yes, the whole show will be through Irish as the singletons try to get in touch with our native language as well as find their next beau.

The series is currently on the hunt for singletons to star in the show. So keep an eye out for official casting announcement, we certainly will be.
