Could we finally see Maura Higgins return to the Love Island villa?
The Longford woman became an icon after her appearance as a bombshell on the show back in season five.
Fans have been eager to see her return to cause havoc in the villa. Especially after Adam Collard’s appearance in season eight.
When Love Island: All Stars was announced fans were sure that she would make an appearance.
But unfortunately, the season was completely Maura-less.
Worry not, as a second season has just been confirmed and we’re holding out hope that this time the truest Love Island All Star makes an appearance!
After the Love Island final on Monday night, Maya Jama confirmed that the next time we return to the villa it will be with the All Star crew.
She explained that it will air over the winter, taking over from the Winter version of the show which was certainly a lack-lustre experience for viewers.
Ahead of the summer season hitting our screens ITV confirmed the All Stars series would return next year to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the show.
Yes, we can’t believe it’s been a decade of Love Island!
Mike Spencer, Creative Director at Lifted Entertainment said: “What a perfect way to celebrate a decade of Love Island, by bringing back another all-star class of Islanders for what will I’m sure be another vintage year of romance, drama and relationships.”
Let’s light a candle that Maura Higgins returns for season two!
