A month after he suffered a “relapse” with his alcohol issues, Jonathan Rhys Myers looks to be back to his healthy self after being spotted out and about in London yesterday.
The Tudors star made headlines last month when photographs emerged of him drunk and stumbling through the streets with a bottle of vodka in broad daylight.
The actor has had a very public struggle with alcohol over the past ten years and has been involved in a number of rehab programmes.
Yesterday was the first time Jonathan has made a public appearance since his most recent slip up and he appeared to be in good shape. The handsome Cork man looked fresh and casual when spotted on his shopping spree and had a large Topman shopping bag in tow.
The former Dracula star has kept a low profile since the damaging photographs were circulated but he did issue a public apology on his fiance Mara Lane’s Instagram account.
“Mara and I are thankful for your support and kindness during this time,” he wrote. “I apologise for having a minor relapse and hope that people don’t think too badly of me.”
Jonathan is due to star in a new film this year called Damascus Cover. The movie which is now in post production is based on a spy trying to navigate the precarious terrain of love and survival during an undercover mission in Syria.
