There is plenty of reason to celebrate with Christmas right around the corner, but Laura Whitmore has extra cause for cheer as the presenter is celebrating her mother Carmel’s birthday as well.
Treating her mum for the special day, Laura took her daughter Stevie Ré and Carmel to a Lapland winter wonderland experience.
Sharing snaps from the girls day out, the Wicklow woman wrote: “Happy Birthday to the mammy @carmelwhitmore What a super woman you are! Had the most magical day @laplanduk thank you! The whitmore women out in force”
The former Love Island host also shared a snap of doting granny Carmel as she showed Stevie Ré the ice skaters.
Laura and her husband comedian Iain Sterling keep their daughter out of the public eye as much as possible, so the sweet photo was a rare one.
In her book No One Can Change Your Life Except For You, Laura wrote about her pregnancy journey and her thoughts on becoming a mum.
Saying: “I want to bring up my child knowing that she has her own story to write. She will be supported and loved. But she is the heroine of her own life, no-one else,”
Laura’s friends and family were quick to gush over the stunning snaps and send Carmel plenty of birthday wishes in the comments.
