We were excited enough, here in VIP Towers, when we heard that Hollywood A-listers Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell joining were joining Ryan Tubridy on Friday’s Late Late couch.
The Daddy’s Home co-stars, who were in Dublin for the Irish premiere of the comedy on Monday, took part in a pre-recorded interview in front of a live studio audience, which will be aired on Friday night.
Their slot is expected to be great entertainment, with the stars chatting about their Irish roots, Mark’s dinner with golf maestro Rory McIlroy and how they went “on the piss” with a group of Irish dads, who won a competition to go for drinks with the actors.
Now comes the news, however, that added to that list of guests is broadcaster Baz Ashmawy, the star and creator of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, for which he has just won an Emmy; the RTE reporter who hit the headlines this week courtesy of her hurricane-force report from Galway, Teresa Mannion, as well as golfer Shane Lowry and legendary comedian Brendan Grace.
And as if that wasn’t enough, musical entertainment will be provided by the newly-reformed The Corrs, who will also chat to Ryan about what they’ve been up to during their time apart, as well as performances from Paul Brady and The Villagers.
The best Late Late line-up of recent times? You bet…
