Could Faithless be getting a second season?

And just like that, Faithless has come to an end!

Yes, the last two episodes of Baz Ashmawy’s hit comedy show aired last night, and fans are now all wondering the same thing…will there be a second season?

For those who have yet to catch the series, don’t worry as it can easily be streamed on the Virgin Media Player.

But to bring you up to speed, Faithless follows an Irish-Egyptian dad, Sam, who is presented with the life-altering responsibility of raising his three young daughters alone, after his wife dies.

That is until his irresponsible but irresistible younger brother moves in to “help,” but never leaves.

Previously speaking out about this project, Baz admitted that it was a long time coming, having started writing the pilot five years ago.

But thankfully, it all worked out as fans are simply loving it!

Sharing their opinion online, one viewer said: “Watching it now. So funny. Hope you have more to come. It’s one of the few programmes that has my husband howling with laughter. Well done.

“Raging it’s over, we need to see what happens next,” shared another.

While a third penned: “Please tell series two is in the making cause if it lives up to series one it will be absolutely brilliant. Loved it well done to all involved.”

Baz didn’t leave fans waiting for an answer as he confessed that he has his fingers crossed that it will be picked up for a second season.

“Thanks so much. Let’s hope so… I’ve got ideas and let’s hope Virgin Media is on board,” he annouced.

This isn’t the first time Baz has teased a second season as he previously told The Irish Sun: “I’ve spoken with Virgin Media and they tell me they are really eager to do a second series.

“So it looks like we are going to do one. The show has gone better than we could ever have dreamed.”

Fingers crossed we’re not waiting too long!
