Keith Duffy took the opportunity to remember his father on what would have been his 78th birthday this week.
Sean Duffy passed away in hospital in January last year with his wife Pat and three sons by his side after a long medical battle.
The singer shared pictures of himself with his dad over the years, including snaps of him with his grandson and Keith’s pal, Stephen Gately.
“My Dad would of been 78 today,” he captioned the picture.

“In todays World Thats still pretty young, We lost So much with your passing Dad and gained nothing but the understanding of how much we love you and miss you. Happy heavenly birthday.”
He was inundated with lovely comments from his fan and friends.
Dancer James Jordan commented: “Thinking of you mate. I miss my dad everyday – he will be looking down on you brother.”
Artist Terry Bradley left love heart emojis on his post.
Keith confirmed his dad’s death in a joint post last year with his son Jay, sharing that he was the “most courageous and brave warrior”.
“Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are to announce the passing of our father/grandfather Sean,” they wrote.
“The most courageous and brave warrior we’ve ever known and probably will ever know. We already miss him so much.”
