
Fontaines D.C. closed out Electric Picnic on Sunday night to a rapturous crowd.
As they finished out their set, they made a huge announcement.
The screens at the Main Stage flashed up the words “Slane Castle” in the iconic Fontaines font.
So it looks like the lads will take over the iconic venue next summer.

It’s been confirmed that Fontaines D.C. will play Slane Castle on Saturday 26th June 2027.
They will be joined by some special guests including Hayley Williams and Damien Dempsey.
Fellow Irish band Madra Salach has alos been confirmed as a support act, with more due to be announced later.
Tickets will go on general sale on Thursday, September 3rd, at 10am.

Fans who register through Fontaines D.C.’s official website will also have a chance to purchase tickets through pre-sale.
The announcement comes after Luke Combs played two nights at Slane Castle this summer.
Thin Lizzy played the first concert at the venue in 1981. Other acts who took to the stage in the historic venue included U2, Bruce Springsteen, Queen and Oasis.
More recently, Harry Styles delighted crowds in 2023.
