Could we be getting a Katie Taylor fight on Irish soil?
The professional boxer has been expressing her interest in bringing her matches home to Ireland.
Now that dream is very close to becoming a reality after her fight against Karen Elizabeth Carabaja.
Over the weekend, Katie defended her WBA, IBF, WBO, WBC and Ring Magazine lightweight belts at the Wembley Arena in London on Saturday night, as she was again crowned the queen of World lightweight boxing.

The 36-year-old then called out Amanda Serrano to meet her in Croke Park next year.
She said: “We want to fight in Croke Park in front of 80k people. That would be the biggest event in women’s boxing history. I can’t wait for Croke Park next year.”
She defeated Amanda Serrano earlier this year in Madison Square Garden and the Puerto Rican boxer has confirmed her interest in a bout against Taylor on Irish soil.
She took to Twitter to say: “I want to go from this unification to my rematch in Ireland vs Katie. My entire career I’ve done these weight jumps, I’m that person.”
Thank you sincerely to the @WBABoxing & to my Team @MostVpromotions @jakepaul for this amazing opportunity.
I want to go from this unification to my Rematch in Ireland vs Katie.

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn also promised that Katie’s next fight would be in Ireland.
“Her next fight has to be in Ireland. It is time to give Ireland a sporting event it will never forget. They have waited so long and no one deserves it more than Katie Taylor,” he explained.
“We already had everything in motion with Croke Park, with the authorities and Brian Peters.”
While he said that they are hopeful that Amanda will take to the ring, he admitted that the opponent wasn’t the most important thing. The most important thing is that it is in Ireland.
