Jeremy McConnell has reportedly cut short his holiday in Thailand after hearing that his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis has given birth.
The former Hollyoaks actress gave birth to her first child in Liverpool on Friday, while the Irish model was partying in Thailand.
Upon hearing news of the birth, Jeremy reached out to congratulate Stephanie on the safe arrival of her son and insisted he will do the right thing if the child is his.
“I am delighted that Steph has safely had the baby, of course if he is my son I will absolutely step up and do what I can to support him.” he wrote on Twitter.
Now, Jeremy is reportedly going one step further to build bridges Stephanie, as he plans to fly home to Dublin to find out if he is the father of her son.
“Jez has decided to cut his holiday short and fly back to Dublin alone within the next 24 hours.” a source told the Daily Star Online.
“He has told friends he really wants to sort the situation out and find out if he is the father once and for all. Regardless of the media circus which surrounds him and Steph if he is the dad of her child, then he is determined to step up to the plate and support her.”
The new mum has always claimed the Irish model is the father of her baby and insisted she’ll do a private DNA test once the baby is born.
“Jeremy knows the truth. I’m keeping (the DNA test) private” she told New! magazine. “I’ll sort that with him. If I could have done one straight away, I would have, but it was too dangerous for the baby.”
