We sat down with James Patrice for our June issue and we still think we have pains in our sides from laughing.
He is genuinely as funny off screen as he is on screen and we would have spent all day with him if he would have let us.
But he’s a busy man, zipping up and down to Cork for The Today Show and bringing us behind the scenes on Dancing with the Stars.
And now his personal life has gotten even busier as he exclusively reveals that he is in a relationship! And we’re only delighted for him.
“As someone who’s been perpetually single for a number of years, I am seeing someone now. I’m in a relationship. It’s not a woman; shock, horror, I am queer. VIP readers, I apologise, I’m so sorry ladies,” he teases.
“There’s a man in my life and he’s a really lovely person. He works in TV as well. He’s a great man. I’ve known him for two years, but we only got together over the last while and it’s going great. I haven’t posted him online, but will when the time is right. I’m happy out.”
And he’s gotten the seal of approval from James’ family!
“He met the whole gang! It was a baptism of fire. It was one of Fron’s famous Sunday dinners and he survived. I met his family as well and they’re lovely. That’s the big obstacle, meeting the parents and it’s done. So far, so good!”
While he loves to share bits about his life online, he confesses that keeping his relationship private has been so lovely.
“I think so, definitely. It’s great to have some things just for your own personal enjoyment and journey. You don’t want or need to put everything online.”
